Judie for Liberty Lake
About Rick
Rick grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has been proud to call Liberty Lake home for the past 22 years. Together with his wife Lauralee, a dedicated teacher at Liberty Creek Elementary, and their two children, Conner and Chloe, Rick is deeply rooted in this community. He earned his Bachelor of Nursing degree from the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education in Spokane, Washington, and later achieved a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Professionally, Rick has over two decades of leadership experience in healthcare and business development, Rick combines clinical expertise with strategic oversight to drive meaningful outcomes. His career spans roles as a registered nurse, nurse case manager, and vice president of business development, where he successfully scaled operations, improved organizational efficiency, and strengthened client relationships. Rick excels in team building, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving. Passionate about community engagement, he has contributed to professional committees, authored industry publications, and delivered presentations at national conferences.
In his free time, Rick embraces challenges and seeks out extraordinary experiences that push his limits and inspire personal growth. Each year, he embarks on a "Misogi"—a transformative challenge that takes him outside his comfort zone. His first was walking the Camino de Portuguese, followed by hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim. This year's adventure will be a 5,000-mile motorcycle ride along the stunning Washington, Oregon, and California coastlines.

Rick’s passion for the outdoors fuels his love of hiking, biking, and backpacking, while his commitment to daily exercise keeps him energized and focused.
